Because of its rural situation the design for the rear of this garden has been kept as understated as possible – leaving an open view to the farmland beyond and providing a hardwood deck under an old oak tree to enjoy the view. Oak sleepers have been used as planters around the patio, a brick path runs along the back of the house ending in mosaic detailing set into the lawn, and brick ‘stepping stones’ lead to the deck. The front of the house has a more formal look with a raised brick bed and planting in the light coloured gravel.
