The client wanted a chess set in his garden so it was built into the patio and constructed of grey and black limestone surrounded by sandstone paving – and a seat for the spectators.

Another patio on the lawn with the birch growing in the centre will have a tree seat. The photos were taken just after building was completed and before planting.
